About Purple Resilience
We're building climate risk intelligence tools for critical infrastructure operators who need actionable insights, not academic reports.
Purple Resilience was founded to address a growing challenge in critical infrastructure: the need for actionable, operationally relevant risk intelligence in the face of increasing weather volatility and climate-driven operational risk.
Grid operators face an increasingly complex operational environment. Extreme weather events are more frequent, vegetation management resources are constrained, regulatory pressure for resilience planning is intensifying, and investment in generation and transmission is rising as grids transition to renewables. Yet many existing tools provide climate projections or weather data without translating these signals into operational decisions.
We believe infrastructure operators deserve better. Our focus is on translating environmental signals into granular, asset-level risk intelligence that integrates directly into operational workflows—prioritising inspections, guiding vegetation management, enabling proactive preparedness, and supporting investment decisions.
Our Approach
We combine expertise in physical climate risk modelling, geospatial data analysis, machine learning, and energy infrastructure operations. Our models are physics-based, regionally calibrated models, and designed to produce immediately applicable outputs.
We're building Purple Resilience specifically for the European grid operator community, starting with design partnerships that help us refine our models and deliver intelligence that operators actually need.
Current Status
Formation Stage: Purple Resilience is currently in formation and actively recruiting design partners and pilot customers.
Location: Based in Berlin, Germany
Stage: Early-stage, seeking pilot projects with TSOs, DSOs, and utilities across Europe
